Snappet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our Engineering department as a key member of our Data Engineering team. 

As a Product Owner Data Engineering, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and delivery of our data-driven solutions that contribute to improving children's learning outcomes. You will be responsible for defining and prioritizing features and improvements to our data engineering domain, ensuring innovations from the Data Science team can go to market quickly and reliably. This role requires high-level knowledge of data engineering principles, strong project management skills, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements for data engineering projects.
• Provide regular updates on the progress of data engineering projects to all relevant stakeholders.

Backlog and roadmap management:

• Maintain a well-defined and prioritized product backlog based on value and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with the other PO's to manage the Snappet engineering roadmap.

Drive Data Engineering Initiatives:

• Lead the development and implementation of data engineering initiatives.
• Work closely with software engineers, data engineers and data scientists to deliver high-quality solutions.

What we ask

• Background in Computer Science, Data science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the domain of data science or data engineering.
  
• High-level understanding of data engineering concepts and technologies.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency in English (working language at Snappet engineering) 
• Proficiency in Dutch (for school visits in the Netherlands) is preferred.
• You are expected to work from our office in Utrecht at least two days per week.
